We Make Future festival in Rimini: Hong Kong as a digital I&T centre

With the support of HKETO, Brussels, InvestHK promoted Hong Kong as a digital innovation and technology centre at the three-day We Are Future festival in Rimini, Italy on 16 - 18 June 2022.

Described as the world's biggest festival for digital innovation, We Make Future 2022 attracted over 36 000 participants from 49 countries, including many start-up entrepreneurs and tech investors.

A total of 200 people attended the Hong Kong presentation with 50 business people attending in person and 150 following the presentation online. Deputy Representative of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Brussels, Mr Henry Tsoi, gave an overview of Hong Kong's business-friendly environment with reference to the innovation and technology sector. The Head of StartMeUpHK, Ms Jayne Chan, gave a presentation on Hong Kong's start-up ecosystem. Other speakers were Ms Mao Xi, Representative, Shenzhen European Office (Brussels Head Office) and Mr Stefano De Paoli, InvestHK's representative in Italy, who also moderated the presentations and the Q&A session and met with interested companies at the Hong Kong booth.

StartmeupHK Festival

Hong Kong's StartmeupHK Festival, Asia's leading annual startup event, will return in a hybrid format on 5-10 September 2022.
