HKETO, Brussels promotes I&T opportunities at Web Summit Lisbon 2022
The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Brussels (HKETO, Brussels) promoted Hong Kong as an ideal place in Asia for Innovation and Technology (I&T) start-ups to grow their business, during the Web Summit Lisbon 2022 in Portugal.
HKETO, Brussels hosted a networking event for Web Summit participants on 2 November, in collaboration with InvestHK, to promote opportunities in Hong Kong. The event was supported by the Portugal-Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as the Association of Young Entrepreneurs Portugal-China.
Deputy Representative of the HKETO, Brussels, Ms Grace Li, told participants that Hong Kong was going full speed in developing into an international innovation and technology centre. She outlined some new government initatives which would attract high-potential I&T enterprises to set up operations in Hong Kong, and make it easier for top talents from all over the globe to live and work locally.
Ms Li also highlighted the huge potential presented by the deepening of the co-operation between Hong Kong and the Mainland in the I&T sector. She encouraged entrepreneurs to visit Hong Kong to discover the manifold opportunities for themselves.
The Web Summit is a major international technology conference, which aims to bring together the people and companies that are redefining the global tech industry. It attracts over 900 speakers from around the world, as well as 70 000 participants, including entrepreneurs, investors and professionals in the field of technology.
