Barcelona Dragon Boat Fest

The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Brussels was pleased to support the 4th Barcelona International Dragon Boat Fest taking place on 20-21 May 2023. The event on the Canal Olimpic de Catalunya in Casteldefells attracts teams from all over the world.

Presenting the Dragon Spirit Award on 20 May, Assistant Representative of HKETO, Brussels, Ms Carol Tsang, remarked that dragon boat racing was an exciting sport, and a bridge connecting people from all over the world.

'Dragon boat racing is a good example showcasing the unique old-meets-new culture in Hong Kong. I would like to invite you all to Hong Kong and experience our vibrant and diversified cosmopolitan life,'; said Ms Tsang.

About 600 participants and 30 dragon boat teams from Asia, Europe and North America took part in the competitions in the Festival. Apart from participating in the competitions, visitors could experience the fun of the sport by rowing in the dragon boat sponsored by HKETO, Brussels.
