Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival in Antwerp is CANCELLED

Breaking News: Water samples taken by the City of Antwerp and the Festival to ensure the safety of the participants have found high levels of cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) in the water. In the circumstances, the organisers regretfully have no choice but to cancel the Dragon Boat Festival this year.

The 10th edition of the Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival will take place on Saturday 16 September 2023, Schengenplein, in the Port of Antwerp.

Come and watch the exciting races at the Kattendijkdok as competitors in colourful costumes paddle dragon boats.

You can also enjoy the children's village, music, street theatre, and food and drink. A great day out in the fresh air for all the family.

The event is sponsored by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Brussels and organised by the Rotary Club Antwerp West in cooperation with the Rotary Club Antwerp International.
