The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Brussels (HKETO, Brussels) supported the 12th Asian Film Festival Barcelona, which took place in Barcelona, Spain, from October 24 to November 3, 2024. Seven Hong Kong movies are supported by Brussels ETO in the Festival, namely "The Narrow Road", "Fly Me to the Moon", "Dust to Dust", "Love Lies", "Where the Wind Blows", "Cinema Strada" and "Time Still Turns the Pages". "Time Still Turns the Pages" has been selected as the closing film of the Festival this year. Brussels ETO hosted a reception on November 2 for about 100 guests from the local film, cultural and business sectors. Speaking at the reception, Assistant Representative Mr Paul Leung said that Hong Kong is an East-meets-West centre for international cultural exchange and an Asian front-runner in global film history.
That evening, there was a full house with over 200 people attending the screening of Nick Cheuk's Time Still Turns the Page, the closing film of the Asian Film Festival Barcelona! The award giving ceremony of the festival took place just before the screening and two Hong Kong films won the following awards: The Narrow Road (Lam Sum) > Best picture in the discoveries section Fly Me To The Moon ( Sasha Chuk Tsz-yin) > Best direction in the Netpac section Congratulations to the directors and thanks to the festival as well as Casa Asia for this successful collaboration!
