Hong Kong movies present at the Dubline International Film Festival 2025

Dublin International Film Festival was held from 20 February to 2 March 2025. Hong Kong films couldn't be absent on this program as Hong Kong has long been recognized as one of the most dynamic film industries in the world. From action-packed thrillers to deeply moving dramas, Hong Kong films capture the unique spirit of our city, an unparalleled creativity and cultural uniqueness.

Two outstanding films were screened, 'The Way We Talk'; by producer Adam Wong and 'Obedience'; by director Siu-pong Wong. These films reflect the richness of Hong Kong's cinematic landscape and offer audiences a glimpse of the talent our filmmakers bring to the global stage. Both film directors attended a Q&A session about their respective films after each screening. A Hong Kong reception was also hosted on Saturday 2 March in Dublin.

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government remains steadfast in its support to the Hong Kong film industry, not only in fostering creativity but also in strengthening international partnerships and nurturing talents. We believe that cinema is a powerful bridge that connects cultures, sparks dialogue, and inspires new perspectives.
