Business opportunities in Hong Kong for contractors

The Government of Hong Kong is taking forward the planning and construction of a number of development projects as well as other projects ranging from public housing, hospital development, urban renewal to transport infrastructures, to meet the social and economic needs of Hong Kong. With the above development projects coming on board, we envisage that the total expenditure on public works projects will reach a record high of an average of HK$90 billion annually in the years ahead. As such, we welcome the participation of a greater number of capable and experienced non-local contractors to help deliver these projects in Hong Kong.

Against the above background, we have recently introduced a new fast-track route (under which relevant contract experience outside Hong Kong will be duly recognized) for contractors to seek admission to our List of Approved Contractors for Public Works (the List) to allow large non-local contractors to be admitted directly to the highest group of the List (i.e. Group C).
